Jubilee Picnic

For the last four years I have been designing the posters for the Friends of Horfield Common summer picnics. This year not only was I asked to design the poster (see below, my design before the text was added) This year the project had a grant through the Bristol Neighbourhood Partnership to be spent on art, and I was invited to contribute.

The picnic is held on Horfield Common and in the Ardagh, which is a  'sport and recreation facility' being utilised by the local community. I decided to focus on the importance of the different sporting activities offered at The Ardagh, and design a vintage inspired poster for each one,

The Putting Golf has been neglected for a while, and it was decided to try and resurrect it in time for the picnic, to make it more appealing we decided to create royal 'faces' instead of the traditional numbered flags. from left to right: The Queen, Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince William, Kate, and Prince Philip.

I also designed cardboard masks and supervised a stall where children could come and paint them, I made a corgi and one of the Queen but the corgi proved more popular and ran out before I had time to even take a picture:

Millie Mae

This is a project I started a while ago now but it is finally ready to post. A company called 'Forever England' approached me to design some packaging for their haberdashery and children's clothing lines.
I created two alternative 'button cards' (packaging that buttons are attached to to display them attractively)  and two designs for their quilts, which are folded and tied with ribbon with labels on the back and front. I also created some labels for their spools of ribbon and some swing tags for the clothing range.
